Application for Donation
This form is designed for use by registered Canadian charities who wish to apply for donations from our foundation.
The Burton Charitable Foundation is very small in comparison to most foundations. Our annual donations are 95% member-directed – that is, our members tell us where to make donations – so the capacity for donations to organizations making unsolicited requests is limited.
Nevertheless, if your organization aligns with our values, please feel free to make an application using the application form below.
Our Process
Organizations wishing to solicit a donation from our foundation must complete an application. The application form is available here and will be submitted automatically as soon as you click on Submit Application. Supplementary information may be forwarded to donations@burtoncharitable.ca.
The Burton Charitable Foundation considers all requests for donations once a year in March of each year. Your application may be made at any time and will be held for consideration then. Successful applicants will be contacted shortly after our Board of Directors approves the recommended list of donees.
May we respectfully request that your organization NOT add us to your distribution list for regular appeals – we do not read these, nor will they influence our donations decisions.
