How To Sign up for Zoom: I recommend taking these steps a few days before the AGM so you can reach out for help if you need it.
- Go to http://zoom.us and click on the big orange button in the middle of the screen or the top right (they both work).
- Fill in your personal details as requested until you’ve completed the process.
- Download the zoom client at https://zoom.us/download - you can also download a plugin for outlook that will help you join more easily.
- Install zoom and then open it. Find the gear icon (settings) near the top right and navigate to video. Near the bottom should be a checkbox next to “Always Display Participant Names On Their Video” – if there is none, please click it so that you can tell who is talking during the meeting, and be sure that you provide your name so you can be counted easily during votes.
- A few days before the AGM , you will be sent a zoom link via e-mail. Click on the link near to the start time of the meeting and your client should open the meeting automatically.
- If #5 does not work, copy the link from your e-mail, open your Zoom client, and hit the + button over the text “Join” – then paste the link into the dialogue window that pops up.
- Congratulations, you should now be connected to the BCF AGM.
